About Miniaturk
Turkey in 1:25 Scale
The ambition of Miniaturk is straightforward: take the whole of Turkey — its ancient ruins, its Byzantine churches, its Ottoman mosques and palaces, its modern landmarks — and compress it into a single walkable park on the shores of the Golden Horn. The result is more impressive than you might expect.
Over 135 scale models at 1:25 scale cover everything from the ancient ruins of Troy and Ephesus to the rock-cut churches of Cappadocia to the imperial mosques and palaces of Istanbul. Walking through the park takes approximately 1.5–2 hours, and you will pass monuments that span 3,000 years of history in a single afternoon.
What You'll See
The models are grouped loosely by region and period. Istanbul's monuments are naturally well-represented: Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Dolmabahce Palace, and the Galata Tower all appear in their 1:25 forms, side by side in a way that brings their relative scale into sharp relief.
Beyond Istanbul, the models include:
- Ephesus — the Library of Celsus in striking miniature
- Cappadocia — the distinctive fairy chimneys of Göreme
- Troy — the legendary ancient city of Homer's Iliad
- Ani — the ruined medieval Armenian capital in eastern Turkey
- The Ataturk Dam — one of Turkey's great modern engineering projects
The Digital Experience Museum
Adjacent to the open-air park, the Istanbul Digital Experience Museum offers a different kind of attraction: immersive VR simulations, augmented reality installations, and interactive digital art exhibits. Both venues are bookable separately and represent a natural combination for a half-day visit.
